One Act Plays

Every year, LADS competes in the Montgomeryshire Community Drama Association One Act Drama Festival - an arena in which we have had many triumphs, including qualifying for last year's Welsh final and coming away with the Best Actress (Wales) trophy for Rebecca Smith.

This year, we have two entries. Our home audience will be able to enjoy these plays on 14th and 15th April at Llanymynech, before we take them to the competition at Berriew (20th-22nd April).

First up is 'The Attic', written by Robert Scott and directed by Keith Clarke. 'The Attic' is a modern ghost story, mixing a contemporary couple with a strange Victorian past - do you dare watch? Starring Callum Langston-Bolt, Rebecca Smith, and Judith and Robert Townsley. Guaranteed to give you chills!

'Choice', written and directed by Marg Kynaston, is our second play. A young chancer thinks he's found an easy target in Dorothy and Eileen, but will he get his way? Someone is not going to like the choice they have to make. Marg has previously won multiple Festival awards for her writing and is on top form with this taut and darkly-funny drama. Taking part are Marg, Suzannah Smith and Richard Kipling
